a non-petroleum-based diesel fuel made by transesterification of vegetable oil or animal fat (tallow) or synthesized from any biomass material.

Bioenergy

solar energy stored in plant material and released when combusted in the form of biofuels.

Biofuels

solid, liquid, or gaseous fuels derived from relatively recently dead biological material. Biofuels can be produced from any (biological) carbon source; although, the most common sources are photosynthetic plants.
