PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. McMahon is a Senior Project Manager in the Forestry, Carbon, and GHG Services Division of ESI.  As a Senior Project Manager for ESI Mr. McMahon specializes in third-party carbon offset validations and verifications, carbon sequestration project development, development and implementation of management plans for enhancement of carbon stocks, development of carbon and environmental asset tracking programs, and team management.

Mr. McMahon has conducted third-party verifications of numerous carbon sequestration projects in South America and throughout the United States.  He conducts feasibility studies for carbon sequestration projects and develops numerous forest (REDD, IFM, and ARR), soils, fuel efficiency (CNG vehicles and improved cookstoves), methane based (landfill and biodigestion) projects in the United States, SE Asia and South America. Mr. McMahon also leads lectures and seminars throughout the country regarding the carbon project verification, markets and opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES WITH ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC.

As a Senior Project Manager, he is approved to conduct third-party carbon sequestration validations and verifications under the Chicago Climate Exchange, (CCX), the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Climate Action Reserve (CAR) and the American Carbon Registry (ACR).  His duties also include carbon project development, forestry and arboricultural assessments, marketing, team management, and presentations on sustainable resource topics and carbon markets.
