Environmental Services, Inc. Receives ANSI Accreditation Under ISO 14065:2007
Environmental Services, Inc. (ESI) is pleased to announce its receipt of accreditation from American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO 14065:2007 for greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies. The scope of accreditation includes ISO 14065:2007, ISO 14064-3:2006, and verification/validation of assertions related to greenhouse gas emission reductions and removals at the project level for Land Use and Forestry (Group 3).
This accreditation further proves ESI’s ability to perform greenhouse gas reduction validation and verifications and qualifies ESI to continue verifying projects under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX).
“Obtaining this ANSI accreditation is an excellent achievement for the ESI team and one that positions us to continue providing greenhouse gas project validation and verification services to our ever growing clientele,” says Janice McMahon, Forestry and Sustainable Services Division Director. “This accreditation underlines and reinforces our ability to meet the stringent requirements of the leading greenhouse gas reduction and carbon offset registries/protocols.”
Environmental Services, Inc., first established the validation and verification program in 2007. Since then, ESI has completed verifications in the United States in ten states including Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Louisiana, and Montana. Along with the verification projects in the United States, ESI has also completed large scale verifications in Brazil and Chile.
